Context is missing on this one. Do you still live there? If No. Do you know your dad doesn't like people chewing gum? If you did, and don't live there, and you went ahead and did whatever you felt like anyway and be disrespectful to his wishes, then I agree with your dad and would also ban you from my house. He is old enough to not take little kids (which you are for acting the way I assume you did) crap. if a man can't feel safe in his own home without some lip-smacking chewgum chewing ingrate coming in there whenever they damn well please, just because he is your dad, then yea... Whenever I read these types of things, my first thought is that the parent making the insane demands is quite mentally ill, the person being punished for some ridiculous thing is just a **** up and the seemingly minor thing was the final straw, or someone is just indulging in some short form creative writing. I just can’t think of a scenario where this sort of thing would come from a well balanced individual living in a happy home. If true, then I’m really sorry. I get the feeling that this is just the latest in a long history of insane demands from a mentally Ill individual. Hope you can move out soon.
