That's why you have ur period on a calendar so you plan ur wedding and honeymoon away from that.... YDI
Maybe OP doesn't want to skip a period (birth control pills have varying side effects, I've tried them and prefer to stay off them), and maybe she would rather use pads than tampons. So although in theory she could have avoided being on her period for her wedding, this is still an FYL. Also when I used to track mine on the calendar, it varied from a 30-45 day cycle...it's not an exact science, guys. You can't always predict it to the day.
Yes you can skip a period if you're on the pill - you just don't take the placebo pills and continue on with the next sheet of tablets. All you dumbasses saying its only men saying you can skip are really really stupid women who obviously know absolutely nothing about their bodies or birth control. Go to your GP and ask. Also, with the Mirena implant, you don't have a period at all so that's another possibility. Get your facts straight before bitching people out on here - you all have no idea.
Have you ever tried using a tampon :D
I hope she's a good friend then! It'll be ok, it could be worse :/
I started mine right as I was walking down the isle. I got blood on my wedding dress.

that's why you go on birth control so that you can use it to safely delay or skip your period. it's part of wedding planning 101.
It likes to come at the worst possible moments. This is going to sound gross but, if you and your new husband want to do the deed, use a female condom. And hey, at least you know your bestfriend is a true friend!
