Today, I got a new computer because my old one crashed, deleting all music, photos, and documents. I still had all my music on my iPod though, and went to sync it to the new computer. By accident, my younger brother pulled the cord out before it was done, deleting all 3,000 songs forever. FML

through the apple store you can re-download your purchases up to 3 times. there's how-to's all over the internet, good luck!!

invest in an external hard drive for backing your stuff up.

FAKE because you cant transfer stuff from an ipod to a computer//so you cantput your songs on another computer

its not fake because if you have real player you can also transfer songs from ipod to computer... also if you bought your songs from itunes im sure you can get them back from the itunes store

it doesn't matter if he downloaded them legally or not, it's just that he spent time collecting those songs and files and then in a swipe they're all gone. itunes doesn't let you get back tv programs. i've had all of my stuff deleted once before.

Wow guys. It's simple. All you have to do is connect your ipod, go to 'my computer'. click on the ipod drive. tell it to show all hidden files. find the folder labeled 'music'. it'll have a bunch of weird letters for folders. just copy all of those into itunes and itunes will know how to label them all! and voila, you have an "ipod sync"

YDI for not asking pretty much any computer literate guy about it who would have simply booted into a live linux CD and recovered everything kthx.

they make external drives for a reason. YDI for not having a back up!

I've done this before and I've NEVER lost even ONE FILE. I had a bunch of corrupted ones. You sure your bro didn't play with magnets?

only a couple of songs should have been deleted, not the whole playlist. Anyways, FYL

ibimmer you are wrong. when you plug your iPod into a new or restored computer, and it does not recognize the information on your iPod, it will ask you if you want to transfer the info to your computer. YMI for not being a true iPod/ iPhone owner. btw, I'm only 13.
