Being a furry is not a fetish. It goes with that stereotyping thing (see my comment above). Just because CSI showed one weird side of the furry fandom, everyone thinks all furries are about sex in animal suits. Not so. It's more spiritual, the way some tribes recognized a spirit animal within each person. It's about recognizing the primal nature of yourself. It's no different than zodiac signs except that you have to soul search to find your animal self, rather than read a magazine (which is wrong because our calendars are imperfect and the system was invented hundreds of years ago, but I digress) you get at the supermarket check-out lane.
