perhaps that's his way of expressing how much he cares for you. I mean, we all are "in the market" no matter who we are with b/c everyone keeps themselves open to some degree. And this guy just wanted you to know how special you were.

being loyal and actually acting like a husband as he is going to be soon is a much better way of expressing how much he cares. I sure hope she dumped his dumb ass. He is making excuses go get out of the relationship.
