Today, my husband told me that I’m no longer “allowed” to see my best friend of 27 years. He’s worked up in his mind that she’s going to try to convince me to cheat on him because she’s single. She literally introduced us and was the maid of honor at our wedding. FML

"seriously?! Go **** yourself" Is the response that springs to mind and, as another poster pointed out, projection is a thing. I know it's not cricket but personally, I'd have a quick skim of his phone to check who he's been messaging what to... If that comes up clean then you might want to have a gentle poke at this husband of yours and see if he's hitting his mid-life crisis and getting a bit insecure with himself. It's probably the latter and some new underwear, a few dirty weekends away and swinging from the chandelier should fettle it. I really hope it's the latter.
