Honestly this is something I would probably say if my Dad had a distinct smell. I've told ex's they [blank] like my dad before, and it's a compliment. Your dad is like.. your protector. His presence is calming. When something reminds you of your dad, it's calming. Unless you had a shit relationship with him, of course.
