Today, my mother told me she's disappointed in me for not going to a better college, and that if I was in the top ten of my class that the rest of those ten must be really dumb. Fact is, I threw away the acceptance letters to Carnegie Mellon and Cornell because I didn't want her to have to pay. FML

Today, my mom is obsessed with my academic success, as she was a highschool dropout, and actually gives me more homework than my school does, all so I’ll be more advanced than my peers. I barely know what a television is anymore, since it’s been so long I’ve had enough free time to watch one. FML

looks like she's just trying to get out of paying for college. keep on doing what your doing there always scholarships and finicial aid. and shame on your mother she's suppose to steer you in the direction to do those things.

That's horrible, keep doing school and do whatever it is that you want to do! Make your sisters work to be more successful than you if that's what your mother wants!
