this is 100% my mom! She hangs grocery bags OVER the trash can and gets mad if someone puts trash in the trash can. If she's not bitching us out about it, she'll stick her bare hands into the can and put the trash in the grocery bags.

Maybe I'm weird, but this makes sense to me, especially if it's a bathroom garbage can. If a woman puts in any pads or anything "messy" you don't want that spread all over the trash can. Unless I'm reading this wrong, it's the same logic as using a garbage bag for your garbage in the kitchen or in the garage, so your garbage can doesn't get dirty. Who wants to scrub a garbage can after its dirty and smelly or "messy" from some guests sanitary stuff? With that said, it's still pretty weird to dig out all the dirty stuff with your hands just to put it in the grocery bag; just empty the trash and then put a new bag in.

I wouldn't be surprised. My mom cleans everything, no matter if it's already clean or not. If the trash can is 1/8 full, she'll take it out .
