Luckily I am not hung up on my wedding enough to demand everything the way i want it. Everything should be a joint desicion apart from your own outfits. A wedding does not give you the right to be a bridezilla or a groomzilla, the wedding means little, the marriage is important.

@amiemariej - Whilst that is probably the most common cause of a chocolate allergy it varies from person to person, and the severity of the allergy. And I don't get all the people who're like - just get a cake with a different tier. The whole point that he's highly allergic to chocolate, not just slightly. Any cross-contamination would end badly.

At least you know how she is now. Perhaps you shouldn't marry her, if she's so selfish as to not care about your life-threatening allergy. I don't understand why she wouldn't want to do a tier cake, and have at least part of it be of a flavor that you could eat. You could even cut two slices - one from each type - if she really had to have you feed her the chocolate. My advice is find another woman to love - one who cares more about you than the wedding.
