Today, my co-worker came into the office saying "ha I just got my court date and it's before yours". Congrats, I'm glad you can soon marry your fiance who lives in another country and you met less than a year ago. That is better than getting custody of my stepson who lives in an abusive house. FML

Your life does suck, OP. I’ve been in yours shoes & it’s really hard. Every day that drags by leaves you sick with worry about his situation and whether he was safe today. The push the court dates out so that there is time for mediation. Did you try filing an ex parte to get the date escalated? That’s your only hope.
