Today I went bowling with my new boyfriend. I threw the ball extra hard and my fingers got stuck. I lurched forward, slammed my chin on the lane, bit my tongue, and had my dress fly up exposing my thong. Then the "over the line" alarm went off. FML

Wow, fyl. And here I was thinking this only happened in cartoons.

I agree a dress isn't good attire for bowling, but a thong is just another type of underwear, it's no more "attention seeking" than any other kind. The wind would still be able to blow the dress up with regular underwear and you'd still be able to see the same things, wearing a thong doesn't change anything. Girls wear them with dresses for many reasons, regular underwear can cause panty lines depending on the dress' material, which doesn't look good. Sometimes dress material can be thin, so a thong is more discrete and you won't see it through the dress. Also, some girls just prefer them because they consider them more comfortable, kind of like how some men prefer boxers over briefs or vise versa.

So a bowling ball maybe 10% of your weoght with pulled you forward? Meaning you threw it with enough force to move your weight but you weren't strong enough to hold it back?

I've bowled most of my life. This isn't actually that hard to do. However, the force of the forward movement would have usually dislodged the fingers, preventing you from continuing on with the ball. So, either she was squeezing the bowling ball, or she was using a ball that didn't even come close to fitting her hand.

why do you wear thongs with dresses? Kind of deserve this.. what if wind blew it up? slightly attention seeking... should dress for activity.. bowling with dress and thong?
