Tell them that when you work you are not going to take careo f them like that.
I'd beat them.
Go on strike, if you raise a son that can't clean up after himself then he won't have any respect later on in life. Also, your husband should be ashamed of himself, tell him you are disapointed with him.
Next time you wash dishes, pack those bitches away. Hide them. Your son and husband get one plate, bowl, cup, and set of utensils each. If they don't wash them, they have nothing to eat from. I had five male roommates at one point and this is the ONLY effective method I've found outside of throwing all your shit away and buying paper plates all the time
Welcome to being a woman
I don't understand why people are accusing her of "allowing it to happen." We don't know the situation; quite possibly she has asked them time and time again to clean up after themselves and they haven't. If she's in a situation anything like mine, leaving the house dirty in hopes that your lazy family will do something about it doesn't work. My boyfriend claims he's blind to dirt, but I think he's really just selfish and inconsiderate. As much as you might want to make someone do something, withholding privileges, nagging, or ignoring the mess all won't work if they don't want to do it, point blank. I feel bad for the OP if she's tried everything and they still aren't pulling their weight. It's a messy situation ;)
And why don't you do something about you families lack of help around the house. Until you make this an issue and address it you get what you've always gotten, the responsibility of taking care of the housework on your own. It sucks and FYL but make it a priority to change the behavior or deal with the situation you allow to exist.
Easy solution here! MAKE THEM DO THE CLEANING! You're not a slave...

Time for a mom strike.
Tell them to get off their lazy asses and give you a hand.
