If this is a real FML I can't believe so many people are actually agreeing that the posters life is F***ed. Any parent who would seriously not deal with this after so much time totally deserves it. Some kids won't let go as easily as others, but if you can't figure it out in that much time you deserve it. Odds are the poster was just way too lazy to take care of it when it should have been done and just used the lazy excuse of "they'll grow out of it eventually" so they could just not deal with it.

Um if your son is gay then it might not be the pacifier he uses to sleep. It is just a distraction from the real problem, all the chains and "sleep overs" where they watch "scary movies" and scream.

You know in the US, you can legally boot him out of your house at 18? I recommend you get to it, and if he still uses his pacifier out alone in the world thats his choice and not something to concern yourself with.
