Today, while I was working my shift at the store, my girlfriend appeared and asked to talk to me. Once we were alone, she burst into tears and started sobbing. Turns out someone's dad died in her favorite TV show and she wanted some comfort. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend out for a romantic dinner, since we can't see each other this Valentine's Day. Halfway through, my aunt called, telling me my grandma had died. I had to leave because I was crying so much, leaving my girlfriend with a very pricey bill. FML

Today, my wife, who recently had cancer, made an offhand comment that my 30-year-old sister took offense to. Instead of saying something, she went and called our parents. My dad then called and yelled at me for 5 minutes about it. FML

Everyone that's asking about the age/maturity of this woman can gtfo, spongebob was originally for adults, it was part of the adult swim thing, and so there are a LOT of jokes for adults, spongebob is awesome [= Anyway, did you actually explain that you needed to be cheered up and that you're aunt had cancer or did you just say you wanted to talk to her? Either way I can't blame her, spongebob is the shit

and that's when you said "well, since tv is apparently more important to you than i am, how about i call back...never!" *click* ...right? it totally doesn't even matter what show it was; tv is tv and should never come before your loved ones! (this is assuming that you told her why you wanted to talk, otherwise, how is she supposed to know something is wrong? then it would've been just like any other phone call to her)
