Time to find a new group of friends. I'd ask the one you texted why and if he has any advice, and then limit future contact. Use Meetup, Craigslist Groups, the local college "Evening School" (or whatever they call it. It has not-credit courses like dancing, glassblowing, etc.), a community center, and other sources. And if a group doesn't exist that you are interested in, decide what you DO like and create your own group. I did one for movies; all my friends were married and had kids or like chick-flick drama movies and I wanted to see things blown up and homicidal aliens. Had 4 to 15 people at each and every movie, too! Get tips on what you should work on in your interactions and then widen your circle of friends. Good luck!!!!
