Today, I realized that my baby stops crying loudly whenever I turn on the vacuum cleaner. I'm either stuck with a fussy baby all day, or the roaring sound of a vacuum cleaner. FML

Did you consider that the baby doesnt stop crying, you just can't here it over the vacuum

Haha that sucks! I can't stand the sound of babies crying, it's annoying! But then the vacuum is a pretty annoying sound too. Couldn't you find something else to entertain the baby?

If your having trouble with her shush loudly in her ear and move jiggle her she will get to sleep quickly... and stay asleep most times it will remind her of being in the whom

38-but no one else did think about it so they considered him a *genius not the ppl who "could think of it if they tried"

it's called a coomon problem. your baby is colicky. Turning in the vaccuum is actually one of the number one ways to stop the crying. that or driving the baby in the car for long periods. just be happy that the vacccuun works. some colicky babys don't stop crying even with the vaccuum on.

well maybe you should start cleaning. maybe your kid is trying to tell you he/she thinks the place is a dump...

Why not put yourself in the shoes of a parent who has a baby, instead of telling them to be a parent. Have you ever thought that babies cry and scream because they can? Maybe the baby has colic which causes them to cry for HOURS on end? Or maybe the baby is gassy. Or maybe the baby is hungry. Or maybe he baby needs a changing. There's a million and one reasons and possiblities as to why the child is screaming for hours. It's not easy being parent, so don't run your mouth, or tell them to "parent", if you've never had a child yourself.

Babies do some weird stuff sometimes. Mine loves power chords >.<

it's a collicky (sp?) baby... my daughter is like that... but she like the song "all American girl" by Carrie underwood... it gets her to calm down instantly it's weird... I guess cuz I sang that to her the 2 months she was in the hospital... it's just like her she was supposed to be a boy then the nurse came in with a pink blanket and instantly she had my husband wrapped around her finger! lol

it's white noise, try another form of white noise! I used to know an autistic child who needed the blow dryer going to sleep... you could even try recording the vaccuum and then playing it back.

how is this an fml - you found a way to stop your baby crying - surely this is a good thing
