No, wait, I mean, yes, he needs to be dumped, but not immediately. Take a couple of weeks to do some hardcore sports regime (like freelethics or 21 shred) and watch your diet a bit (no crash diet, if you are doing lots of sports you need to eat, just cut out sweets, fast food and soda for those weeks), so you shape up nicely*. When he starts appreciating you again, THEN dump him. *I'm saying a few weeks are probably enough because I assume OP isn't probably really overweight, just not toned much, based on the fact that a douchnozzle that would say something like that about his girlfriend would never start dating someone with a REAL weight issue in the first place.

I'm never the one to jump onto the "break up with him" bandwagon, but honestly in this situation I think I would. Insults and name calling aren't part of a healthy relationship and if he's saying that to his friends now he'll probably be saying it to you later
