Haha. Your father kind of sounds like an ass, but if you do wear as much as society "recommends," I'm afraid I would have to agree. [edit] Just a quick comment, but did you really want all those older guys to be that interested in you? o_O Ego is not a virtue.
really? Just because her dad says that she's wearing lots of makeup doesn't mean she has raccoon eyes or nasty fake tanner on. We don't know what she looks like, so how can we pass any judgement on her sand say YDI? also, to all of you people who say that she needs to be herself and not wear makeup, how do you know she's not being herself by wearing makeup? Makeup CAN be artistic expression in and of itself. =/ Have an open mind people. Just because every hoe at your middle school wears nasty liquid eyeliner and orange foundation doesn't mean she does.
kaay . you all need to stop being so perverted and realize that her fathers co-workers were just trying to be polite, not "hit on" his daughter. And you also need to realize, most girls in modern society wear makeup. Some even at really young ages. I'm not saying I approve of bottles and bottles of foundation, or using the whole "stick" of eyeliner in one day. But c'mon. a little makeup isnt hurting anyone if you wash it off each day and keep your skn healthy. get over yaaself.
for the sake of feelings, lets hope that he just made a really bad joke. I don't think he meant any harm.
I don't wear too much makeup, just mascara and lip gloss and a TEENY bit of eyeliner. But (not trying to be mean) I hate it when people act all self-riteous and say "I don't approve of makeup. It makes you look fake. Be who you are." Sure, if you're putting it on with a paint-roller, then we've got some problems. But a little bit of makeup doesn't hurt. And there are really just four possibilities here: your dad was kidding, your dad can't handle even the smallest amout of makeup on his little girl, your dad is a douche, or you look like a racoon. For all of them, FYL.
People make fun of you if you're ugly, so you wear a lot of makeup. Then people make fun of you for wearing a lot of makeup. Tell me that isn't ****** up.
Yeah. I see everyone in this thread saying that only ***** wear make up and all. What about the girls that wear make up because they have low self confidence? This is a double edged sword. Guys make fun of girls for being "ugly" but then make fun of them for wearing too much make up. When I used to not wear make up, guys used to call me ugly and "lazy" for not fixing myself up.
lol...I'm married, my husband met me at night at a a bar wearing make-up. After I spent the night with him for the first time and he saw me without make-up he told me I was even more beautiful without it and he meant it. So if someone's so ugly that without make-up their S/O wouldn't recognize them or even think they're still somewhat pretty...maybe then, yea they shouldn't wear any...lmao...

Make a **** video of you with all the guys from his work. And during the video, look at the camera and say "look dad, no makeup!" He'll get the message.
Do you wear a lot of make up?
