Today, I found out the gift card my friend gave me for Christmas actually has no money on it and was never purchased in the first place. FML

I would ask your friend if the actually put money on it and if they did get th reciept, when I worked in retail there was a guy we fired because he would ring out a gift card for somone then hand them an empty one and pocket the other. you may fond your friend is a douche or that they got ripped off.

How is this an FML? if you got a stolen xbox and then the cops found it and arrested you, FYL... but a card? who cares... and YDI for expecting money, the thought of giving you something is what it is about. YDI for being a selfish gold digger at Christmas time.

Hun this sucks for you...I mean if your going to steal something then how about a 25 cent card? for the comment below me...how is she being a gold digger by trying to spend the gift card her friend had got her? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that was the reason for a gift card..to spend it? Now It would be being selfish if she got a regular Christmas card and was complaining about not having any money in it..But that wasn't the case.
