Today, I found out I am allergic to the Monistat yeast infection medication, to treat the one I got after taking antibiotics. I don't think severe burning or intense itching are supposed to be side effects. Now my vagina feels like the devil took residence there and does not want to be evicted. FML

you know what also works, get an organic yoghurt, full fat, nothing added etc. soak a tampon in there for about 30 min, and then put it in. that's what my gp taught me and it worked every time I had it.

that's actually normal side effects for the first hour or two. if it lasts longer or is accompanied by swelling or bleeding, then there's a problem. if you can't take it, the other meds (starts with a t) don't usually have it, but also only work about %70 of the time.

you hae to do this 3-4 days. it works because yoghurt has the same ph balance as we have down there so it brings everything back to normal.

I am allergic as well. Call your doctor and get a script for diflucan. It's a pill and works within 24 hrs.
