Today i finished paying off my school loan after only 8 years. Today i also had to get a dental loan because all 4 of my wisdom teeth came in crooked, and i have to get 2 molar root canals. FML

Root canals are a major waste of money and super risky. The tooth usually does and has to be pulled anyway, and you can wind up with permanent nerve damage from the root canal that causes agonizing pain, numbness, or even paralysis. Just get the teeth removed, and ask about a dental partial or implants. More expensive, but less likely to result in permanent damage and distress. Seriously, I know a family friend who's niece commit suicide as a result of the chronic nerve pain from a root canal that should have been a "simple, routine procedure" and that the dentist made no indications of it having gone awry at any point. And there's nothing that can be done about the nerve damage once it's done. That said, maybe you'll get REALLY lucky, and the tooth fairy will trade you enough money to pay off the loan for the teeth you get removed.
