Today, I decided I didn't care about my pride, and so I asked this girl out in a text. After an hour of no response I asked again. Later I got a text saying, "I'm sorry, This is Emily's mom. Emily isn't here at the moment, but if I were you, I wouldn't ask again." I was rejected by her mom. FML

Today, after telling a friend I was contemplating asking a girl to prom, my friend took my phone, told me to have some balls, and texted the girl asking her to prom. She said no, because I asked her over text instead of in person. She refuses to believe I didn't send the text. FML

If you don't have enough pride to think of better way of asking girl out besides texting, you shouldn't have pride in the fact you were rejected by her "mom".

wellyou really shouldn't have resent the message man... I mean she obviously either forgot her phone o was ignoring you. either way, resending the message makes you look needy. maybe that's all the mom was getting at and it wasn't actually a rejection...

fake... why would the mom respond? and also i really doubt it was her mom, it was probably her or something. you probably just exaggerated with the whole "rejection" thing. in person is better.
