Spicy
Today, as I was at Starbucks writing a paper, a man came and sat next to me. He started staring at me, then I noticed his hands were down his pants. It was noticeable that he was masturbating, so I went to tell a worker. They just said, "He's a regular" and didn't do anything about it. FML

That's not true at all. Starbucks is a public place as it is a shop freely open to the general population. Whether it is privately or publicly owned is irrelevant, because the definition of a "public place" constitutes more than just its type of ownership. If it is open to the public, meaning there's no membership or expressed permission to use it, then it abides by the same laws/rules for all other places, which makes masturbating in Starbucks just as illegal as anywhere else. People have been charged with public indecency, and other sex offences, simply for being seen naked or exposed through an uncovered window in their own home. This is worse, and violates the law.

Still illegal. A coffee shop is a public place and not private property. Hence why you can't discriminate against who gets to come inside and such. It's even illegal in your house if you do it to expose yourself to people, like right at your window for instance.

If he's in a private property/place, which Starbucks is, then no, it's not illegal. It's at the discretion of the person who owns the property

It doesn't matter, It's still open to the public and considered to be a public place.

it's spam. we got a load of these on our forum, posting about how these spells were curing drug addiction when I worked for a charity supporting families affected by drug or alcohol use.

I quick video, and a phone call should do the trick, as for the Starbucks employee, I'd make a complaint go a little bit higher...

That's when you call the police yourself. Then, ask for the manager and make a complaint about the employee. The police can access any security footage in the store but, if you feel safe to do so, try and get a pic or video of the guy with his hand in his pants. Do not make shitty comments like "you're going to jail asshole." because that just makes it easier for him to argue that you were harassing him. After you've done all you can do at the store, write a clear and detailed report of the incident and send a complaint to starbucks head office and keep a copy in case the police contact you about this or ask you to go to court - make sure you include the time and date and the location of the store. Most people don't complain because they don't want to take the time to deal with it or risk more time to attend court.

You should have ordered a cup of coffee as hot as possible and then throw on his crotch he won't do that shit again

THAT would probably be assault and give serious burns. But I get the sentiment.

I've gotta wonder: 1) What name do they put on his cup? Mr. Chickenchoker? 2) Do they ask him if he wants his cup full or if they should leave room for *wink* milk *wink*?

I would make a damned big deal! I would stand up and say, "What the Hell are you doing masturbating in here!" And then call, or make someone, call the police! Perpetrators count on our shocked silence. Make noise!

that's when you demand to speak to the manager.

There has to be something law enforcement can do. That shit is illegal.
