Today, I went to take a piss in a public bathroom. Somehow, I managed to completely jam the lock. After minutes of trying to get myself out, I gave up and crawled under the stall, at which point someone walked in and was very surprised to see me on the floor. FML

Today, I was in a public restroom at a concert when I realized I was locked in. The door was jammed, and there was no way out. I knocked, I tried to force it, I even climbed through the air vent to escape, only to end up covered in dust and toilet paper. Meanwhile, people outside could hear me yelling “HELP!” for a solid 20 minutes. FML

Today, I was in the bathroom at work. The lock on the stall door broke, and I couldn't open it. I was all alone and I started having a mini panic attack. After several minutes of frantically trying to fix the lock and hyperventilating, I realized I could just crawl under the door. FML

Today, I walked into a public toilet and I opened a stall door, only to discover someone who had forgotten to lock the door sitting on the can. Instead of saying "Sorry," I panicked and said, "Nice shoes!" I then had to wait until they left because I was too embarrassed to face them. FML

This made me laugh because I'm from Michigan and the same thing happened to me at my sister's graduation. As I was climbing from underneath the stall door I could hear the lady in the next stall clearly go "Oh my!". I guess Michiganders are just good at locking themselves into bathrooms.

Unless there was a gawd-awful smell, I'd have waited till someone came in & asked them to please get someone who worked there to come get me out. Just a thought for the next time you find yourself on an extended stay in a public restroom :-)

That happened to me at a Chik-Fil-A a few months ago. The minute i came out of the bathroom, the manager told me she was just about to go in the bathroom and fix it. SMH.
