These are all things that can happen on a trip - I've never seen one locally that guarantees you'll see anything. They do their best but it happens. The seasickness is a shame though.

Sorry to hear that! If you decide to try it again, first take something so you don't get seasick! Dramamine I think? And sunscreen will prevent the burn. I'm not sure where you live, but if you can get there the whale watch in Hyannis, Massachusetts is amazing. I've been on it 3-4 times in the past few years and we always see tons of whales. Maybe consider taking a cruise somewhere? I saw many whales (among other things) on a cruise to Antarctica, and most cruise ships stock dramamine patches that help seasickness tremendously. Hope you get to see your whales someday!
