That's mental illness from the bullying and insecurity. **** her life and **** those insensitive kids. Please direct her to counseling and medical attention. Nobody should have to experience something like that.
I hope you can talk to the kids' parents. They should teach their kids that bullying is damaging.
I really feel for your daughter, I was in a similar situation at her age and sought help in my 20’s. The best thing you can do for her is find a eating disorder program where they have qualified councillors, therapist and support in recovering. There are great outpatient programs dedicated for teens/young adults struggling. The one I went to had group meal then group therapy afterwards for the patient. They also offered therapy for friends and family of those effected as most don’t always know how to help. Good luck to both of you.
