Could be worse, mate! I once required an artery tap in hospital (arteries are much deeper down than veins); the respiratory therapist messed up so many times on my left wrist that she had to do it on my right (my dominant hand). The therapist messed it up so many times that I volunteered to let the student that was shadowing her try because she couldn’t do any worse. Finally, a registered nurse took pity on me and did it in one try. My wrists were bruised and sore for weeks afterward!
