My junior year I took calculus and we used to mess around too. The class is really hard, so you can't expect them to be serious the whole time

Almost everyone acted like that in my IB and AP classes. The people that sat back and said "all these people are so stupid and immature" got worse grades. Just because you're smart doesn't mean you're mature. And the best teachers I ever had knew how to let chaos run wild, and reign it in when need be.

I'm pretty sure there were some "That's what she said" going on in there too.

Sheesh 10. You are just as boring. Smart people usually have the most fun. They know how to make more options of fun :) so if you think it should NEVER happen. I feel so bad for your children :(

10 was obviously never in any AP class. We had fun in all of mine, and Calculus was always the one where we had the most fun, as everyone accepted that we couldn't pass the AP test lol.

You're obviously not an AP English teacher because that would be one hell of a run-on sentence. Or, even worse, you don't know the definition of a sentence, since you described saying three separate sentences.
