Gun culture is fascinating

Today, my 14 year-old son asked to join my buddies and me at the gun range. The second I finished the safety lecture and handed him a pistol, he started twirling it on his finger (thankfully, it was unloaded). I smacked him in the head and took him home. Now he's moping and sulking like a bitch. FML

It’s better to teach them while they’re young.

(redneck voice) The most important thing about gun safety is to always keep your gun on safety when you're not using it. (enter your son) Son of a bitch, get your ass in the truck! (look this up on YouTube lol)

I hope that you, as a consequence of this, also gave him a lesson in gun safety.

Why would you take a 14 year old to a gun range?!?!!?!?

It’s better to teach them while they’re young.

Same reason you'd take them fishing, hiking or golfing. To spend time with them doing something you both enjoy.

Teaching him guns and violence while bullying him. Good job dad maybe our next school shooter.

Coddling him while he's messing up like that is how we get school shooters. "But we gave him access to firearms without supervising him, how could this have happened..."

Obviously, he isn't mature enough for a gun range yet.
