A few days ago, I went to an ultra-religious friend’s wedding. When I congratulated the newly wedded couple, he said he wishes I would find a good and loving husband. I am a lesbian in a relationship with a women for almost a year and he knows it.

Yeah, people like that? They never stop trying to guilt you into playing straight. Even when they know that it would completely destroy you. As an aroace person who's dealt with a similar situation, it might be a good time to start distancing yourself before he gets more aggressive about "saving" you from your "sin." It'll be safer for you emotionally. Could even be safer for you in other ways, depending on what extremes he's willing to go to for his beliefs. Whatever you decide, love who you love, and as long as you aren't hurting anyone, you aren't doing anything wrong. You be the you that makes you happy, and anyone who has a problem with you being happy and not hurting anyone can sit 'n spin.
