Today, I found out that my (amazing) adoptive parents are going to be investigated by CPS and no one's telling me why. I'm terrified I'm going to be taken away and end up back in foster care again. FML

Today, I borrowed my adopted mom's laptop and found out that either her, my dad, or both of them, have been trying to research legal ways of un-adopting me and giving me back to the foster care system. FML

Truth bomb

Today, I found out the truth about my and my siblings adoptions and why I have no contact with any extended family. Turns out our parents are half-siblings, who decided to adopt rather than risk any genetic anomalies. Their families didn’t approve of the relationship so they moved us far away. FML

Today, I'm in the process of adopting a child. When I called my mom to tell her the news, she just said, "Oh honey, don't adopt, it's the worst decision you'll ever make." I'm adopted. FML

Today, and for the past week, I've been incredibly on edge because apparently my dad is kicking me out but I don't know when, and my mom has told me I'm not allowed to tell anyone. She then got mad at me because I did. FML

Today, I watched my mother's heart break. She found out, my siblings (20F and 18M), who've ignored her for years, have been adopted by our stepmother. She received said news the same way we found out my younger brother enlisted, and from the only place we get pics of him and my sister: her abusive ex-husband's Facebook page. FML

Today, I got the news that the family who adopted me decided to send me back because I didn't share their MAGA ideals. This is the second family to send me back after the first one decided they couldn't financially take care of me. FML

Investigation does not mean conviction. Maybe some asshole just wanted to cause trouble for your adoptive parents and they'll clear the investigation.

Definitely talk to the investigators. They have the child's best interest at heart; I'm sure they will listen to you, the child.

Sometimes there is nothing wrong but CPS has to investigate anyway to make sure that no child has been harmed. I am sure CPS will ask your opinion if there is a need.Just tell the truth. If you are adopted I don't think they can just whisk you away to foster care. There are steps they have to follow. Adoption is far more secure than a foster placement. Speak to your school guidance counsellor for advice. Hopefully, CPS agree with you that they are wonderful parents and close the case. Good Luck.
