I was excited he was finally taking our friendship to the next level, until he handed me a stick of deodorant, saying, "I didn't wanna tell you in the hallway, but you really need this." FML

Today, I went to a party and met a guy who was super charming. We hit it off, and he seemed really into me. After talking for a while, he leaned in for a kiss, and I thought, "This is it!" But instead of a kiss, he just sniffed my hair, then said, "Wow, you smell just like my mom!" FML

Today, I finally decided to accept a date proposal from a guy who's had a crush on me for years. I got into his car, and it smelled strongly of my middle school perfume. I went into his bedroom and saw my middle school class photos hanging everywhere. Let's just say I ran home that night. FML

Today, I was about to leave for my honeymoon with my new husband, when he saw my deodorant in my bag. He picked it up and asked what it was. When I said it was deodorant, he gave me a confused look and said, "Girls don't wear deodorant." He actually believed that. FML

Today, I opened some small cute birthday gifts at my boyfriend's house. As we left to go out, he slipped me a Tiffany box and said he wanted me to open it in private. Um, personal hygiene should be a given. I learned about it in the fifth grade, the teacher gave everyone cute little deodorants. Er, anyway, it shouldn't be so bad that he has to pull you aside and tell you, gosh. At least he was nice enough not to say in front of everyone...

He's a good friend. A good friend is honest with you and let you know if you look good, stink, have food stuck in your teeth, etc. It'd be worse if he didn't say anything and he let you hang around while others talk shit about you because you stink. I wouldn't want people talking shit about my friend. So, he did the right thing in taking you to his room and letting you know instead of in front of everyone. It is embarrassing but now you know.
