Today, it was the premiere of a huge play I've worked on for months. The latest week we've practised a lot, resulting in little sleep. In one of the scenes I'm just lying there pretending to be asleep. Guess who actually fell asleep? FML

Today, I was in a play and had a battle scene. I got a little too into it and wound up twisting my ankle. The audience was treated to me screaming like a little girl before face-planting the stage a moment later. FML

Today, it was opening night for the play where I was, for the first time ever, one of the leads. I went on stage with a loud and energetic entrance. I came in two scenes early. FML

Today, after spending hours of my time painting sets for the last two months - with less dedication than only the head painter herself, and to the point where my health and grades suffered - I finally got to see the play I worked so hard on. I was the only one they forgot to put in the playbill. FML

Drama!

Today, I was rehearsing for a school play. My drama teacher keeps criticising the part where I fake-trip, saying I make it look terribly fake. During today's rehearsal, I actually tripped for real, and smashed my kneecaps against the floor with a scream. He still said my "acting" sucked. FML

Making the scene

Today, I had my first day in an acting class. Our assignment was to perform a dramatic monologue. I got super into it, threw myself into character, and dramatically fell to my knees to deliver a line. Unfortunately, my knees slipped, and I faceplanted into the floor in front of the entire class. FML

Act three, scene one

Today, I was performing in a community theater production. Right before my big scene, I felt a sneeze coming on. I tried to hold it in, but it came out with such force that I lost my balance, fell off the stage, and landed in the lap of the mayor, who was in the front row. My character’s dramatic entrance was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. FML

i already commented, but i have to ask this: how is this a "**** my life" anyway? sure, you worked hard on the play, but it would have been equally embarrassing if you just barely knew your lines. if you didn't ruin the show, or fall asleep *backstage* and miss a cue, then i repeat what i said before that your life is not ******, and it barely even sucks. somebody commented on an older fml that there should be a "who gives a shit?" button.

Falling asleep in the middle of the premier on stage isn't embarrassing enough to you? Of course this is an FML. OP probably DID miss a cue and ruin part of the show or else she wouldn't have posted this.

How dare you fall asleep during the show!? I've worked in theatre for almost 3 years as a technician and I'm there more than any actor and I've never fallen asleep during a show. You should be ashamed of yourself! It's even worse that you made it an FML. Jeez. Go jump right off of a cliff, people like you are easily replaced... even in the middle of show run.
