Today, my coworker began flirting with the new guy at work and accepted a date with him. I’ve been trying to get with her for months and she'd told me, “Sorry, I don’t fraternize with colleagues.” I called her out on it and she told me, “OK, I’ll spell it out for you: I do fraternize with attractive colleagues.” FML

"I have been trying with her for months." Sounds like this guy is cherry picking his excuses. She probably did tell him no plained and simple the first time, but if a simple no wasn't enough for him I can see why she used the coworker excuse to get him to finally stop. Sadly honesty is not enough of a no for some people.

Jesus, you sound like a damn incel. No one owes you anything. She said No, take it. However you have to take it, just take it. Entitled assholes that can’t take the word No in the first place is why she has to craft an excuse, as this is the type of behavior she has to endure if she gives you an honest answer up front.
