Ok number one: vegetables have seeds too. 2) tomatoes are not sweet like fruit 3) it is uncommon to put fruits in salad because salads aren't meant to have fruits in them. 4) like someone above said they make ketchup and it is not a smoothie 5) I have called a tomato a vegy my entire life an will continue to. Why the discoverer of it never named it one or the other I have no idea yet. I am off to search that right as I type this.
Tell your mom to go back to school... Chickens are Aves! Neither mammals nor reptiles!
It's true!
idiot
Is that a Canadian degree?
#222 don't you dare rag on Canada that is my home Country and I'm proud of that
Just a friendly joke, Canada is one of my favourite countries
@214 Oh this is going to be FUN. 1. No, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Fruits and vegetables are the names we give to parts of plants. The "fruit" of the plant is, in essence, the ovaries of the plant. It's not a fruit because it has seeds, but it has seeds because it's the fruit. Anything that isn't the fruit of the plant is called a vegetable, such as the roots, leaves, stalk, etc. Go Google some images of vegetables, and then put the word "PLANT" after them. You'll see that "Carrot" and "Carrot Plant" come up with very different results. 2. Flavor has absolutely nothing to do with the name of the food. Also if you think fruits are sweet, go check out a grapefruit. 3. Tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, avocado just to name a few savory FRUITS that are common in salads. Sweeter fruits also include apples, cranberries, strawberries, pineapple, raisins, etc. 4. Not even close. A smoothie is a drink made up of blended fruits, fruit juices, ICE, and other various foods (dairies, powders, etc.). 5. Hey, if you want to continue being a dumb bastard, go ahead. I, on the other hand, prefer educating myself and others. Also, a few fruits you never knew: Pumpkins, eggplant, cucumbers, olives, avocados, ALL chilies (jalapenos, habaneros, bell peppers [yes these are chilies], and really just anything from the genus Capsicum), cashews, walnuts, and almonds.
This explains why the world is a cesspool of moronic imbeciles
My cucumber is a fruit?!
I once knew a hairy chicken. He's no longer my friend.

Chickens are reptiles , duh
74 No matter how you cook a tomato it's still a fruit. If you put lettuce in a parfait does that make it a fruit? If you wear socks outside are they magically shoes? The only time you can transform a fruit into a vegetable is if you completely paralyze Richard Simmons.
