Today, I noticed I'd lost my wedding ring after returning home from a long, tiring day of painting our newly purchased home. After driving back and forth to the house for more than an hour to go looking for it, I found it tucked away in my back pocket. FML

Today, I thought I'd lost the ring that my boyfriend had given me, in the snow, in the dark. I spent a half hour with a flashlight searching every part of my driveway. The ring was on my kitchen windowsill the whole time. I took it off earlier to do dishes. FML

Today, I found my wife crying. She said she’d lost her diamond ring. I backtracked her activities and suggested where to look. She found it in the fridge. She now thinks I hid it there. FML

Today, I’ve been the proud owner of an engagement ring for about 7 hours, and I’ve just spent the last 4 of them desperately searching for the damn thing, as I’ve lost it already. I daren’t tell my partner, since he was so sure I’d lose it, he'd told me to put it in our safe, and I stubbornly refused. FML

Today, after spending 12 hours desperately searching everywhere I could think of, I'm forced to admit I left my wedding ring in the bathroom of the hotel suite we just spent our honeymoon in, on the literal other side of the planet. I am a dead man. FML

This has happened to me a few times with my pocket and my rucksack. After thinking I'd searched through them properly, I would later find my jewellery/phone/camera batteries/camera equipment - recently thought I'd lost the battery pack insert for my DSLR in the supermarket and found it later when going through my rucksack. You're not alone on this one, it really can happen to anyone!

This is why my wedding ring goes on the chain of my pentacle necklace whenever I'm not wearing it. Makes it much less easy to lose track of!

I've answered my phone and replied "no, not yet" when my husband called and asked if I'd found it. he laughed and said my name in the "omg, you're an idiot" voice.
