At least you still have your dignity?
Bus or taxi?
I'd have preferred busting the window or, considering it's one of the things they do, call the police and ask them to help you get back in. As long as you're insured, have a valid photo ID and can prove you own it right away, you're golden.
Oooooor you could ask him to come pick you up.
If they were old enough to drive to get to you, which I assume they would be otherwise they'd have a 12 mile walk, why not just ask them to come and get you? I mean, that is all they'd be doing if they dropped off keys and then you wouldn't have had to walk. You could have said you didn't know where the spare keys were and could they pick you up.
Locksmith? A cab?
I know this will get downvoted but I've taken 3 20 mile hikes and I've been fine year I was sore AF after but I recovered
why not take a cab or bus?
So if your oldest could bring the keys to you why didn't you just have him pick you up and then you get the keys and he drives you back! ?
Okay that sucks but did you really have to put the spare in a sex toy drawer? Shouldn't you have put it somewhere more accessible?
maybe ask a friend for a ride home :)
