Today, my wife started a 24 hour urine collection as directed by the doctor for her pregnancy. She has to collect the urine in a gallon jug, and refrigerate it. At lunch time, I went to go get the rest of my sandwich but was unable to find it, until she suggested I "look under the piss jug." FML

I thought it was funny. I understand the seriousness of pre-eclampsia since it happened with our first child too. Don't get on a high horse with me. I support my wife through and through, just had a funny moment I wanted to share.

For a sec I thought the FML was going to be that you mistook it for lemonade or green tea and took a swig.

Trust me, I've been there, her situation is far worse than having a sealed container of sterile fluid on your sandwich.

oh I want to know what you did to tick her off.

Dinner out is sounding like a great idea.

Man up OP, fatherhood isn't for the faint if heart.

#33 - lighten up, I had pre-eclampsia and had to do a urine collection. It's no fun for anyone involved and you crack jokes to lighten the mood.

I had to do that too, during my first pregnancy. They even kept me in the hospital to do it and measured my blood pressure hourly. Thankfully it turned out there was nothing wrong with me, my doctor was just paranoid.

was wondering my wife is due on Tuesday and didn't have to do that. Thanks for clarifying.

Hey OP, I hope your wife's doing okay! I can't imagine what that would be like. I'm 7 months along now, and my doctor's been very adamant about watching for the signs of pre-eclampsia. I hope all goes well with your wife and the baby!

That's a plate of Nope with a side of Hell No.

With a generous coating of Oh **** No on top.
