Today, my mother told me I should think about quitting school. She explained that the reason was because she didn't want me to be more successful than my older sisters. FML

Today, after having spent years staying in school, working hard to achieve good grades, and avoiding all the bad kids, my mom accused me of having no direction in life and complained about how I haven't given her a grandchild yet. I'm 19. FML

Today, my mother told me she's disappointed in me for not going to a better college, and that if I was in the top ten of my class that the rest of those ten must be really dumb. Fact is, I threw away the acceptance letters to Carnegie Mellon and Cornell because I didn't want her to have to pay. FML

Today, my mom is obsessed with my academic success, as she was a highschool dropout, and actually gives me more homework than my school does, all so I’ll be more advanced than my peers. I barely know what a television is anymore, since it’s been so long I’ve had enough free time to watch one. FML

I could see this as being legit. I've been told to "Stop making my brother look so bad" numerous times. I always say its not on purpose and I"m not going to screw up my life to make sure I don't hurt his feelings. Keep going to college.

Take your education do extremeley well get and amazing job that earn lots of money and laugh in her face and disown her as a parent. As a parent you only want what's best for your children and if she want you to put down yourself to make your sisters look better then she is a bad mother and maybe you aren't her child?
