Today, in a depression fueled rage, my girlfriend smashed a glass against the wall, cutting me pretty badly. This sort of thing has become so commonplace that I'm more upset over the fact she broke my favourite glass. FML

OP, that sounds like a difficult situation. You want to support her, but you need to look after yourself too. I would advise you to call a helpline such as Samaritans or a domestic violence helpline just to talk things through, so.you can decide what to do. because this is domestic violence no matter the cause and despite her needs, it is not ok. at all. and she needs to find a better way of dealing with her emotions and you need support

That behavior is downright abusive. What you need to do is wait till she's out of the house for a long period of time, pack up your stuff, and leave without telling her. This will only get worse if you don't. If you can, schedule a moving date with a buddy, relative, or co-worker to stay with temporarily. You said this is a regular occurrence. Treat it seriously and get out while you have the chance!

It's commonplace behavior, and you're still with her? She may be depressed, but that's no excuse to injure you. Get out of there before she does more than cut you pretty badly.
