Today, I spent a wonderful day with my girlfriend. I got her everything she wanted, and drained my wallet. On the walk home she noticed a license plate that had an ex-girlfriend's name on it. She saw me looking and accused me of still being in love with my ex, and stormed off. After throwing salad in my face. FML

being the OP i thought i'd elaborate- my gf is bi-polar so she can't help things like that- it was an ex that i no longer care about which is all f them and i spent the day buying her stuff because she saw little things she liked and i like buying her things and making her happy. were still dating and doing just fine i just thought this one incident was fml worthy

Your girlfriend is very lucky that she's found someone that can handle her issues. I don't mean that in a bad way, I just can't think of another way to phrase it. Anyway, not a lot of people can handle things like that. My father and sister are bipolar. It's tough for them, but also tough on those who care about them. You're a good guy for being so understanding.

I'm bipolar and on meds for it. Even if she's bipolar there is no reason she shouldn't be looking into a way to control her anger.

lol never been in a relationship have you snick. but then again no one would spend money like that on you would they. he obviously loved her and that's why he spoiled her. he COULD have said no but obviously chose not to. maybe read the fml better? he didn't say he minded or that she bothered him for stuff

Dude, you got played. She got everything she wanted from you when she emptied your wallet and was just looking for an excuse to start an argument so she wouldn't have to put out. Don't call her. When she contacts you and asks whey you haven't called her tell her you are sick of her antics and you deserve better. Or don't you have the guts to stand up for yourself?
