definately can relate... 3 days after getting my new laptop i spilled fruit juice on the keyboard and now when you turn it on it smells like blueberries.

You know you can just plug it out so it is without power. And wash it with water, preferalby destirilized water, and let it dry good before you plug it in again. This should not demage the laptop. Just remeber to take out the battery first, and for the love of god, do not use soap.
