Today, I got fired from My job. At first they didn't want to tell me why but they finally admitted it was because I'm "too nervous" around customers. I have an anxiety disorder and now I've lost my job because of it. FML

I am so sorry OP. I've had a similar situation with my autism. I supposedly take too long to learn things and find it harder to make eye contact. If you are in the UK you may be protected by the Equality Act 2010. This shouldn't have happened. They should have supported you and given you confidence and training to help you be more confident around custormers. I am so sorry this has happened to you. It isn't fair. they should have supported you if it was a problem. This doesn't have to hold you back, you need to have the right environment for you to shine and that clearly wasn't it. You can learn techniques to help with that aspect. unfortunately in a custormer facing job, that part will be important. but it can be learned and you can improve, you just need to be given a chance. This will knock your confidence and that is very understandable. You will be ok OP. I'm sorry you are having to deal with it
