#57, Ohio is the best state ever. Still it sucks that you crashed...
Hahaha ouch. Florida > Michigan + Ohio.
I had a similar thing happen, hydroplaned while driving out of state, but my ticket wasn't as much and was for "going too fast for the conditions." The cop arrived after the accident and never even asked me what my speed was, he just assumed based on how I described the accident. I was going with the flow of traffic, it was nighttime and drizzling. First accident, first ticket, and my car was totaled. BTW, to all of you people saying YDI, you can hydroplane even at 45 MPH, which is not always a safe speed for a major highway, even with weather conditions.
haha i'm from ohio and i hid a median on the 480 and didn't get a ticket. granted it was in the middle of rush hour and i was off the road and they didn't give me a ticket granted they wouldn't let me call AAA and i ended up having to pay $150 for a tow. thank god my truck was all steel so the damage wasn't too bad.
#1 lmao I'm originally from Ohio so I feel your pain. Any time I go back home I make sure it's a quick trip. But let me tell you for anyone who drives to Ohio for the love of God drive the speed limit. Ohio highway police are straight assholes who have too much time on their hands. They're worst that the LAPD.
at least you still have internet access...
#67 - If you hydroplane, there are several factors, of which speed is one of them. The type and state of your tires is a major one, and it's your responsibility to maintain them. If you're hydroplaning at 45mph, then 45mph is too fast for conditions, plain and simple. Stay to the right, go slow enough to avoid hydroplaning, and you're not going too slow - the morons passing you are going too fast. Not your problem.
As others have said...Learn to drive. Also, I've lived in Ohio my whole life and I've never heard of anyone getting ticketed for "Hitting Ohio property". Also, Ohio may not be the best place to be stuck in, but it sure as hell is better than Michigan.
did you hit the brakes when you hydroplaned? stupid..should have taken your foot off the gas instead...drivers ed pays off
