Today, I was interviewing someone for a job at my restaurant. When I said ,"We're like a family here," she wordlessly got up and left. FML

Unless an actual family runs the store, DON'T USE THAT TERM! In the working world, it usually means that emotional blackmail can and will be used.

Don't try that trope again. Everyone knows it's a lie. If it were me, I'd wonder what else you would lie about were I to accept this job.

Might have to use Mars to represent the size of the red flag needed here.
