That's why I'm not a fan of nature. That sucks, OP. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Why on earth would you go camping alone when you have two allergies that you would easily come across in nature?? If the effects aren't bad and you can just take a pill or rub some cream in, then I understand. But it's like an anaphylaxis kinda thing, then you're just asking for it by going out there alone.
As horrible as those experiences were, I'm sure you've taken a lot away from them, you've learned a few lessons in caution. I bet when you are ready for your next one, you will have a much better time. That's how I learned how to camp, making each miserable experience or mistake a learning opportunity. Don't let it discourage you, OP!
