Gold digger

Today, my 6 year-old granddaughter was sitting on my lap, playing with the rings on my fingers. After a moment, she pointed to a gold ring with many jewels and said, "When you die, can I have that one?" FML

sometimes say things like that to my mom but i'm old enough that she knows i'm not entirely serious.. you should give it to her when you die and it'll mean the world to her and she'll remember how she wanted it since she was a little girl

Hahaha that is just too funny. Don't take it too hard, little girls love shiny sparkly things.

HAHAHA. I said that to my grandmother, also. I was like. Nana, when you die, can I have all your rings? bahaha

its not like she is saying that she hopes you die soon so she can have the ring or anything..she thinks its pretty .. :)

I've never said that to my Nana but I always think it she has the coolest jewelry but obviously I'd much rather have her around (though I do hope she leaves me some of it when the time comes.. haha) but also, not just because I like it, but it would be nice to have her old stuff as a memory of her

I think it's amazing that a Grandma is posting on FML, but find it a little hard to believe. Especially with her username that some of you pointed out. Hmmm...

Ouch. That reminds me of the time my little brother asked my grandmother if I could have all of her jewelry and stuff when she died. She now accuses me of hating her. Pretty much everyday. Even though it was at least 4 years ago. Honestly? I've never even seen her wear jewelry...

Its not a huge deal. I always used to say that to my grandma but I used to say "Can i Have that when your not using it anymore." Nice way of saying its mine. She still makes fun of me....(=

Peoples' grandmas go on FML? holy shit, my whole perception of the world is shattered.

Haha, don't sweat it. She would be devastated if you died. I used to say things like that all the time when I was her age because I didn't get that once a relative died, they were gone for good.
