Today, I got into a heated argument at a restaurant with a guy I am seeing because he refused to let me pay for the bill and I thought it was sexist. When he finally agreed, I gave the waiter my card, only to have him return a minute later telling me it was declined. FML

girl, it's just polite, classy, traditional. get over yourself it's nothing to get in a heated argument about, either. come on, if you offer to pay half and he declines, accept graciously. it makes you seem like less of a bitch.

Well, kudos to you for being willing to pay, not many girls like you... actually many get upset if the guy accepts and lets them pay, even if they offered. Guy probably shouldve accepted that you were trying to make a nice gesture, basically you both are equally at fault here and one of you should've let the other pay, he probably should've given in since he most likely has paid before. But the card being declined is all you. @217, while I agree feminists are sexist and anti-male, that's a little off-topic.

Correct. A dude should be the first to offer to pay for both, IF he asked a woman out; if she asks first, then he needs to offer to pay for himself, and see how she responds. In either set-up, once she offers to pay for herself (in the first case) or for both of them (in the second case), he should promptly but casually accept the offer. Obviously, he needs to be prepared with any money needed, or else he's a broke scrub.

What if you were dying, say from heart failure, would you cut off some living man's life support because "Of COURSE this dog was sexist at one point or another on his life!
