So scary!!! Get a roommate!
WIN
LOL @ #9!!
Get a DOG. (A big one) And have it trained to bark and growl at strangers. If it's a super friendly dog, it doesn't help you much as the stalker guy will learn/see it is friendly. Get on and train it to protect you (easy to do! Get a mastiff, if possible. If you need help learning how to train it to protect you, do a google search, post on Yahooanswers and/or go to your local pet store and ask the trainer/owner about how. OR, even ask your local police office for advice while explaining what happened) DO! NOT! Sleep with a gun/knife next to your bed. More people are hurt with them than they are helped. Often times the person trying to hurt you will get more aggressive when seeing them or they'll grab them from you/get them first. This goes to everyone reading this! DON'T!!! You can purchase alarms that go off if a window is opened, GET THEM! And get at least 2 security cameras (or set up a webcam). 1 to watch outside your front door, 1 to watch INSIDE your front room. It is suggested you get a security system and train yourself to set it to Away every time you go out. Also, train yourself to ALWAYS walk in, close the door, and THEN disarm the alarm. That way people cannot watch you enter the code and it means if they try to run in after you disarm it, the door is already closed and, preferably, locked. Get Life Alert. I know the commercials make it seem like it's only for older/disabled people, but it's not. Before you unlock your door to go in, have it in your hand. That way, should they get past you, the alarm, the dog, the door, whatever, the police are coming at least! I had to file an order of protection against my father when I was 13. He's a diagnoses sociopath and stalked us for YEARS! This is the advice and demands the police gave me. It works! They say to put cameras up, but if he's the stalker type... hide it. Make it so you can see him without him seeing the camera. Because if he sees it, he's not the common criminal who goes "damn, I'll be seen!" he'll go "damn, I better find another way..." like abducting you at the grocery store. If you go out, be on the phone. With... anyone! Tell them where you are going, what time it is and when you'll be back. I know it is a lot, but it's vital!

Get a (big) dog. Change your locks. Buy a shotgun.
Well, you do. A golf ball at the door seemed less creepy than a note on your bedside table. Sorry if I scared you.
